Using Stem Cells For Skin Care

By Miranda Sweeney

The search for the fountain of youth began long before Ponce Deleon stepped foot in Florida. People have always wanted to appear younger than their years and today researchers have begun to delve into an entirely unique technique of helping them to accomplish this dream. This unique research deals with using stem cells for skin care.

Many topical treatments available are created from the embryos taken from hardy plants. These plants have histories of survival in some of the harshest climates and conditions on earth. Botanical embryos have the capacity to replace or repair damage done to the plant by the elements or other sources. Tests indicate that people who consistently use the creams created from the plant embryos show a marked improvement in appearance over a three month period of use.

This type of research has taken many different directions since its inception. Some different methods include using donated human eggs that have been made to believe they are fertilized. The inside ingredients of the egg are then extracted and incorporated into the creams and serums made for people. Another, less appealing, method is the use of bovine placenta as a source for the cellular necessities.

One of the more controversial methods begins with harvesting cellular ingredients from the clients fat cells and injecting them as filler into the face. This is still an experimental process and has had mixed results. Some of these results have proven dangerous to the patient because of other ingredients included in the injections.

The most advanced area of this field is in the production of topical treatments. The goal of all research is to stimulate collagen using the proper proteins and amino acids. In the human body these proteins and acids decline as the body ages so the extracts used must contain a potpourri of growth factors, peptides and chemicals that signal the natural stimulation of regeneration to begin. The strongest discussions appears to be about the best source of these elements.

One of the more advanced divisions of this research lies in the manufacture of topical serums and creams. Plant embryos have been shown to be excellent sources of enzymes found in the amino acids and proteins needed to make these products. There are also chemical solutions that create the peptides and enzymes needed but the plants make them naturally and are easily extracted for use.

The crucial cell that controls repair to the body can be found in hair and sweat glands. When the body signals that damage has been done the cell separates into two different types. One remains where it is while the other travels to the damaged site and becomes whatever type of cell it needs to be to control the damage that needs to be repaired.

Using this product in its topical form has been shown to be very effective for repairing and preventing signs of aging in the human body. Facial damage as well as bodily damage has been improved when clients followed the program for ninety day trial periods. Serums containing these ingredients may become far more available as research progresses.
